巴菲特的求職歷程與感想——職場在于選擇（雙語）

　　So, I think I got the point across to’em, but you ought to take a j- when you get out of here, take a job you love. Don’t take a job that, ya know, you think is gonna look good on your resume. Take a job you love. You may change it later on, but you’ll jump out of bed in the morning… I mean, when I got out of Columbia, the first thing I tried is to go to work for Graham immediately, I offered to go to work for ’em for nothing. He said I was overpriced, but I kept pestering him. I went out to Omaha and I sold securities for three years, and I kept writing him and giving him ideas and all this, and finally, I went to work for him for a couple of years, and, it was a great experience.

　　呃，我想他們也明白我的意思了，但是，你離開這兒去找活兒干時，一定要找份你喜歡的。別因為想給你簡歷貼金而找工作，你要找份你熱愛的工作。你可以過些時候再跳槽，但因為它，你早上會興奮地從床上跳起…… 我是說，當我從哥倫比亞大學畢業(yè)時，我最先嘗試的就是立即去為葛拉漢工作。我都說不拿報酬了，可他仍說我不夠格，但是我仍一再向他請求。后來我去了奧馬哈，賣了三年證券，但期間我不間斷地給他寫信，講講我的好點子啊。

　　But I always really worked in a job that I, ya know, loved doing.And you should really take a job,that if you were independently wealthy, you would take. That’s the job to take because that’s the one that you’re gonna have great fun in, you’ll learn something, you’ll be excited about it, and you can’t miss.You may go do something else later on, but you’ll get way more out of it, and I don’t care what the starting salary is, or anything of the sort. I don’t know how I got off on that,but I- there I am. So I do think that if you think you’re going to be a lot happier if you’ve got Two-X instead of X, you’re probably making a mistake. I mean, you ought to find something you like that works with that, and you’ll get in trouble if you think that making Ten-X or Twenty-X is the answer to everything in life.

　　我總是投入到我熱愛的職業(yè)中去。你們真的應該從事自己喜歡的工作，如果你的經(jīng)濟寬裕而獨立，你就該這么做。你定這樣的工作是因為你會從中得到很多快樂，你將會從中受益，會感到興奮，你不能錯過它。你以后可能去做些別的事兒，但是做它，你會收獲更多。我不在乎我的起薪是多少，或諸如此類的事。我不知道自己當初是如何喜歡上這份工作的，不過，我就是喜歡它。我確信，如果覺得得到兩倍比得到一倍會讓你更高興，你很可能就錯了。我是說，你應該找到一份你喜歡的工作去做，拿那份工資。如果你覺得掙10 倍或20 倍的工資，生活就無憂了，那么，你就會遇上麻煩了。因為那樣的話，你會做些傻事，比如在不該借錢時借錢，或者老板想讓你“偷工減料”的時候“偷工減料”，等等。這對你沒有任何意義，當你回想這段經(jīng)歷時，你不會為此而高興。
